Bevy brings in $2 million for the launch of operations in Italy Addressing the problem, Italian startup Bevy, is delivering water and everyday beverages to a customer’s doorstep within 3 hours at supermarket prices, senza delivery fee.

Carrying home water bottles from the supermarket or discounter is a common problem. Despite the rise in q-commerce companies and supermarkets offering delivery services to customers, there is still room for fast delivery of bulky items. However, delivery is possible between 8 AM and 10 PM, Monday through Saturday. After launching same-day beverages delivery services in April, the startup has raised $2million in funding to start operations in Italy. The pre-seed round was led by FoodLabs along with the participation of angel investors including Matteo Pichi, founder of Poke House, and Vincenzo Ferrieri, founder of Cioccolati Italiani and Bun Burger. In 2020, 82% of Italian consumers drank water from PET bottles. The startup is trying to reduce the use of PET bottles in the beverage industry. It will make it easier for customers to return and purchase recyclable glass bottles. This area was traditionally reserved for restaurants and hotels. Bevy has created a deposit system that encourages and rewards the return and use of bottles. Bevy plans on delivering the bottles via an electric van fleet, in keeping with ESG’s tune of the day.
