Grain raises $16M from Series A Funding
GrainThe company, which is based in San Francisco, CA, and offers a video meeting space, has raised $16M through Series A funding. Tiger Global Management led the round, which also included participation from Zoom Video Communications and Slack Fund as well as Unusual Ventures, Acrew, Acrew and Peterson Ventures. The company plans to use the funds for continued growth and expansion of its product offerings to meet customer demand. Grain, co-founded in 2012 by Jake Adams and Mike Adams, is a video conference workspace that allows users to record and share highlights of meetings and gain knowledge from all conversations. The platform, which is AI-based, connects to Zoom Meetings. It automatically records and transcribes calls and allows for easy search and sharing of company meetings. Zoom Integration allows users to export and identify the most important moments of meetings and turn them into user stories. Users can also build libraries with market, customer, or company knowledge. PingPong, a video-messaging platform backed by YC TechStars Ventures and MatchStick ventures was acquired recently by the company. Jeff Whitlock is now Head of Operations.
