Plexus Capital Raised More Than $200M to Inaugural Buyout Equity Fond

Plexus CapitalRaleigh, NC-based multistrategy investment company, gathered $204m to fund its first private equity fund. Plexus Equity Fund I has secured commitments by institutional investors, family offices, and high net-worth individuals. Plexus was founded in 2005 and invests in equity in lower middle market U.S. companies with up $100 million in revenues and up to $12,000,000 in EBITDA. These small businesses are often first to receive institutional capital. The firm has raised $1.7Bn across five credit-led funds (all SBICs) and one private equity fund. The team has invested $1.5billion in 140 middle-market companies. Plexus has six Partners, and the entire team is composed of 36 professionals.
