Tractian Raises $15M in Series A Funding Tractian$15M Series A funding was provided to, an Atlanta-based machine intelligence company that focuses on advanced industrial monitoring system,

Next47 and YCombinator led the round. In conjunction with the funding, Debjit Mukerji, Partner at Next47, will join Traction’s board. The funds will be used by the company to expand operations from Brazil to Mexico, the U.S., and to continue rapid development of its products. Tractian, led by Gabriel Lameirinhas & Igor Marinelli has created streamlined hardware-software options that give maintenance technicians and decision makers complete control over their operations. The hardware suite comprises two sensors:

  • SmartTrac is a device that measures high-frequency vibrations and temperature signals in order to monitor machine health.
  • EnergyTrac, which is installed on control panels or electrical infrastructure, measures energy consumption and monitors faults.

The company extended its suite by recently launching TracOS, a mobile-first software solution that acts as “mission control” for industrial maintenance. TracOS combines data from the sensor family, with intuitive dashboarding and machine learning-based diagnostics. It is also an asset-centric CMMS platform, managing work orders, schedules, inventory, checklists, and other details. Traction currently services large multinational brands like Bosch and Embraer as well as Hyundai, John Deere, John Deere, Karcher, and John Deere. In January, the company announced its expansion to North America, opening a new office in Mexico with a team dedicated to developing the company’s business there. They intend to continue with market entry in the United States this year.
